Since Mooney Bay has never been rented before, very few people have ever been there. Mooney Bay, a 22 acre private estate is located in a beautiful landscaped setting on the southern shore of North Sound which is accessed by an inlet on Virgin Gorda’s north east shore.  This six bedroom estate with a tennis court encompasses a small secluded valley which has white sand beach frontage to the North Sound.  This private estate is sited on the edge of the beach with principle living rooms of informal design opening into a swimming pool terrace.  Mooney Bay may be only reached by water  to ensure maximum privacy but is easily accessed by a short boat ride  from Leverick Bay or Gun Creek.  From various locations at Mooney Bay, one can see Necker Island, Mosquito Island, Prickly Pear Island and Bitter End Yacht Club. Mooney Bay hosted one of the 2008 Winemakers Dinners and the location got great reviews by guests who attended that dinner.

North Sound is one large marine playground. These protected waters make North Sound a sailing and watersport enthusiasts dream. Virgin Gorda was listed as the top island in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas in August 2007 in the Readers Poll for World's Best Awards in Travel and Leisure. On December 9, 2007, the New York Times listed Virgin Gorda as one of The 53 Places To Go In 2008.
